Born as Winter Ave Zoli Uhlank on June 28, 1980, she is a part Czech, part American actress and model. She is best known for playing the roles of Lyla Winston in FX’s TV show Sons of Anarchy. Zoli was born in New Hope, Pennsylvania to Richard and Sue Uhlarik. Her parents own Czech nightclub and restaurant Radost FX. She has partial Czech origins on her father’s side. Her mother has German and English ancestry. She was 11 when she relocated to Czech Republic. She is fluent in spoken Czech and English. She was 11 when she moved to Czech Republic. She attended middle school and high school at the International School of Prague. She studied ballet, but, after she developed a love for stage and acting, she moved on to the musical theater.
She was 13 when she started working in European and American productions that were organized in Prague. She was 17 when she attended the Carnegie Mellon summer school theater program and was 19 when she enrolled in the Atlantic Theater Company, acting school in New York City, founded by a playwright David Mamet and actor William H. Macy.
She graduated from the professional program and moved to Los Angeles. Winter appeared in a 2007 film Sex and Death 101 as Alexis, the fast food beauty. She played the lead role of iconic Libuse in a 2009 Czech film The Pagan Queen. Winter became better known internationally with her portrayal of Lyla Winston on the hit American TV show Sons of Anarchy. She did a nude pose in Playboy Magazine’s March 2011 edition. She stated that “nudity is ot a problem for her.”
In the year 2016, Winter had starred in a feature film Deserted opposite Mischa Barton, Jackson Davis, Trent Ford, Dana Rossendorf, Lance Henriksen, Jake Busey and Gerry Bednob. The movie is a psychological thriller about a bunch of friends on a road trip to a music festival being held in Death Valley.
