The delightful French-American actress Stephanie Szostak (Show Stack) had never planned to become an actress. She left France after her high school to study business and play University golf at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. After she graduated from college, the gorgeous lady got a job in marketing at Chanel in New York and was later asked to model for an internal brochure for the brand. That’s when she decided to take up a career in modelling at the age of 26. After three years, she took acting classes in New York City and realized that she was passionate about it. Soon she landed a role opposite Meryl Streep in the famous film, “The Devil Wears Prada.”
Szostak will star as a lead character in the ABC drama “A Million Little Things.” The show created by DJ Nash and executive produced by Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor, and it will be based on a group of friends whose lives are connected with each other and ultimately turned upside down after one of them dies.
Szostak has also played guest roles on TV Land series “Younger,” Bravo’s “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce”, and CBS’ “Bull.” She was cast opposite Matt Passmore in the USA Network show “Satisfaction”. Szostak further appeared in the Ricky Bitt helmed independent comedy “Hit by Lightning” alongside Jon Cryer and Will Sasso, and she also co-starred opposite Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in Universal Pictures’ “R.I.P.D.” In the year 2013, she played the role of the villain “Brandt” opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Marvel’s “Iron Man 3”. The movie also starred Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce and earned $174 in its opening weekend in United States and has since gone on to earn $1 billion over the years globally. In the same year, she also played a role in “Gimme Shelter” with Vanessa Hudgens, Brendan Fraser and Rosario Dawson.
She has also worked in international films such as the French movie “Une aventure New Yorkaise” alongside Jonathan Zaccai, “The Rebound” directed by Bart Freundlich and starring Catherine Zeta Jones, Italian comedy film “Four Single Fathers, Motherhood” starring Uma Thurman, “The Good Heart” with Brian Cox, and an independent film by Jeff Winner titled “Satellite” for which she also won a Best Actress Award at the BendFilm Festival. Her TV credits include a highly acclaimed HBO series “The Sopranos” and the hit NBC show “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”
Szostak has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree from the College of William and Mary and is a passionate golfer. She resides outside New York City with her husband and two sons.
