Parineeti was an aspiring investment banker but after she got herself a triple honors degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School, she decided to return to India and joined Yash Raj Films as public relations consultant. It was then that she made her acting debut in the movie Ladies vs Ricky Bahl which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She gained in popularity and praised later for her hit movies which include Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance and Hasee Toh Phasee. These movies collectively earned her the National Film Award- Special Mention and made her a nominee for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
