Born on May 16, 1983 in Achrafieh, Lebanon, Nancy Nabil Ajram is a Lebanese recording artist. She was born in an Eastern Orthodox family and was supported by her father to perform as a child and she appeared on a number of TV shows during her childhood. She was 15 when Ajram signed a recording deal with EMI and released her debut studio album Mihtagalak (1998). Despite the fact that she was not yet the legal age, Ajram was given an exception to join the Syndicate of Professional Artists in Lebanon.
