Jessica Weixler is an American actress. She graduated in the year 1999 from Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where she had also attended the Walden Theatre, Conservatory Program and was in The River City Players acting group as well as a member of the Chamber Singers choral group. Later, Weixler attended Juilliard where she happened to be a classmate of Jessica Chastain. She participated during the first year of Bruce Brubaker’s InterArts performance project at Juilliard.
In the year 2007, she got nominated for a Breakthrough Award at the Gotham Awards, and she won the Special Jury Prize in Dramatic category “For a juicy and jaw-dropping performance” at the Sundance Film Festival, for her role in Teeth. She was also seen in the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In January 2009, the New York magazine named her as the “New Indie Queen” of the year and among the fourteen “New Yorkers you need to know.”
In the year 2013, she joined the cast of CBS series The Good Wife where she played the role of investigator Robyn Burdine. In the same year, she was cast in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby as the sister of the titular character. The role was written keeping her in mind.
Weixler then tried her hand at writing, and scripted Apartment Troubles with her friend and ex-roommate Jennifer Prediger. They co-directed and co-starred in the film. Apartment Troubles had its premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival. Gravitas Ventures bought its rights and the film got a theatrical release as well as VOD distribution in March 2015.
On June 9, 2015, Variety reported that Jamie Bamber, Kellan Lutz, Jesse Williams and Jess Weixler had all been cast for a thriller movie titled Money which was to be directed by Martin Rose and produced by Atit Shah.
She is going to be seen as Audra Phillips in the upcoming sequel film It: Chapter 2.
Weixler is married to Hamish brocklebark, a businessman from England and the co-founder of Flooved. Their first child has been a daughter named Beatrice Danger Brocklebank.
