Born as Aislinn Claire Paul on March 5, 1994, she is a Canadian actress. She is famous for playing the role of Clare Edwards in Degrassi: The Next Generation and has won two Canadian Screen Awards (2015-2016) for the Best Performance in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series, apart from receiving a Young Artist Award nomination in 2010. She is also currently starring in a Hulu series Freakish.
Paul was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and started working as a child actor at quite an early age by starring in commercials and advertising campaigns.
Paul was cast as a series regular on Degrassi in 2006 at the age of 12 and she became one of the longest running cast members. She ultimately left the show in 2015 after having appeared on it for more than 220 episodes. For her performance on the show, she was nominated for a Young Artists Award for Best Supporting Young Actress in the year 2010. She also won the Canadian Screen Award in 2015 for Best Performance in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series.
Paul’s other remarkable television roles include Hannah Woodal in Wild Card, Amber in a CBS film titled Candies on Bay Street, Isabella in a HBO series Tell Me You Love Me, and as Alexa Ammon in the Lifetime Movie Network Original Murder in the Hamptons.
In the year 2015, Paul appeared as Phoebe Frady in Heroes Reborn and also won another Canadian Screen Award for her final performance in Degrassi.
She is presently working in a Hulu series Freakish.
She studied at and graduated from the Etobicoke School of the Arts alongside fellow Degrassi actor Chloe Rose.
