American singer LeAnn Rimes is one of the most successful music artists in the 1990s. She rose to fame with her hottest hit song, “How Do I Live.” With her good looks and figure, Rimes is no doubt a sexy country crooner.
Margaret LeAnn Rimes was born in 1982 and grew up in Texas. She is the daughter of Wilbur and Belinda Butler. Both of her parents were very supportive when they discovered Rimes’ love for performing. They enrolled their daughter in vocal and dance classes at age five.
At a young age, Rimes started performing at talent contests. She made her performance debut in a musical production of A Christmas Carol. She also appeared in the TV contest Star Search, where she became a one-week champion.
Later on, Rimes decided to explore the country music industry. She appeared several times in a weekly variety show, which led to her discovery among talent scouts.
At nine years old, Rimes launched her professional singing career. She and her father performed in sports events and recorded three albums within six years.
It was Bill Mack, a record promoter and DJ who discovered Rime’s vocal skills. Mack helped Rimes gain popularity through his original composition.
In 1996, Rimes released the single “Blue” and her debut studio album. After its release, the album sold millions and peaked at several music charts, including the Billboard. Rimes followed up with other singles, such as “The Light in Your Eyes” and “One Way Ticket (Because I Can).”
At 14, Rimes became the youngest music artist to win a Grammy. She received the award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best New Artist. She was also the youngest recipient of Country Music Association.
