Born on November 6, 1968, Kelly Rutherford is an American actress. The gorgeous Kelly was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Ann Edwards. She attended Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California. She later studied at the HB Studio in New York City, and the Beverly Hills Playhouse in California.
Rutherford started her acting career as an actress working in daytime soap operas. She made an appearance on Loving in 1987, and was later cast as a regular on Generations from the year 1989 to 1991. In the year 1992, she became a cast member of the ABC drama show Homefront. From 1993 to 1994, she was a regular on Fox series The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr as Dixie Cousins, a saloon singer and con artist who had a short romantic affair with Brisco. Later, Dixie became Brisco’s main lover. She also acted in the film I Love Trouble and further starred in short-lived series The Great Defender as Frankie Collet (1995) and as Kindred: The Embraced as Caitlin Byrne (1996). In the year 1996, Rutherford was cast on Fox primetime soap Melrose Place as Megan Lewis. She appeared on the show until 1999.
She was seen as Christine Hamilton in Scream 3 (2000). In 2007, Rutherford acted as Lily Van Der Woodsen in The CW series Gossip Girl. She has also starred in various Lifetime films. In the year 2016, she was cast as Laura Wyatt in ABC thriller Quantico. In 2018, Rutherford appeared in the reboot series Dynasty where she appeared as Melissa Daniels, the married ex-girlfriend of Steven. In the same year, she appeared in the spin off of Pretty Little Liars, titled as The Perfectionists.
