Born on 20 April, 1982 Karen Clifton is a professional Latin dance expert and World Mambo Champion from Venezuela. She is renowned for appearing on the British television series Strictly Come Dancing and an American TV series So You Think You Can Dance. She has also been seen on Burn The Floor.
Karen Clifton participated in the sixth season of So You Think You Can Dance and later joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer.
Clifton was born in the city of Valencia, Venezuela and she started dancing after relocating to New York as an eight-year-old. She attended the Martha Graham School of Contemporary and later went to study Ballroom and Latin dance when she was 19.
Clifton had married twice. Her first marriage was to her former dance partner Matthew Hauer until 2009. She then married fellow professional dancer Kevin Clifton on 11 July 2015. They announced on 16 March 2018, that they were not together in a romantic relationship anymore.
In the year 2009, she had auditioned for the sixth season of the US reality show So You Think You Can Dance as Karen Hauer.
She had first auditioned with her husband of the time, Matthew Hauer, but, he was eliminated from the show during Vegas week and Karen moved on to the top 20.
