Eliza studied high school at Plymouth Regional High School, where she was highly involved with their theatre program. She played different roles in their plays, including the sister of Mundy in Dancing at Lughnasa and Anything Goes’ Bonnie. She graduated from college at the California Institute of the Arts.
After college, she studied improvisational comedy and went on to act at stage productions. Her first short film was The Day the World Saved Shane Sawyer (released in 2006). The following year, she had her first big-screen appearance with I Think I Love My Wife. Eliza also had her tv debut in the show Flight of the Conchords. She has participated in many movies, but she attributes most of her success to her performances on tv.
She got selected to play the role of Jane Kerkovich-Williams, a control freak, in the comedy series Happy Endings. This show aired its first episode on April 13, 2011, and lasted until May 3, 2013. Her other significant tv projects include Quantico, Future Man with Josh Hutcherson, and Rob Riggle’s Ski Master Academy.
