You may not see Diane Neal in the limelight of show business anymore. Still, you will surely remember her badass sexy stance in NCIS and hot district attorney character in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. She does not need to be in a bikini to have a sexy physique. Christopher and Colleen Neal welcomed Diane Neal in their humble home in Virginia. Diane has two older sisters, namely Leigh and Erin. When she was still a child, their family moved from Virginia to Colorado to Ohio, where they finally settled. However, when Diane attended college, the actress chose to enroll in Hawaii. Later, she dropped out of school to pursue her modeling career and also travel.
Diane debut in acting was in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’s season three in 2001. She was a guest star who played as a rapist. She then reappeared in 2003 in season five as assistant district attorney, Casey Novak. She replaced Stephanie March in the series.
Neal played a leading role in series from 2003 to 2008. She then became a recurring role from 2009 to 2012. While doing SVU, Neal also starred in Law and Order: Trial by Jury’s 2005 episode, ‘Day’.
After her successful role in SVU, Diane landed a role as CGIS special agent Abigail Borin in the hit TV series, NCIS. She was a recurring role from season 7 to season 12 from 2010 to 2014. She also appeared in six other individual episodes of the series. Neal then reprised her role in 2015 on the NCIS: New Orleans three episodes, The Abyss, The Walking Dead, and Rock-a-Bye Baby.
Her last TV appearance was in 2015, in the TV series, Blue Bloods.
Aside from TV appearances, Neal also ventured into movie jobs. From 2002 to 2015, she played a role in Dracula II: Ascension, Dracula III: Legacy, Mr. Jones, and her last movie appearance, The Emissary.
After her permanent hiatus in show business, Neal ran for election to represent New York in the House of Representatives in 2018. However, the state of New York Supreme Court justice was against her bid in the ballots, ending in a 1% vote.
Neal also made it to the headlines for a couple of disturbing reasons. One of which is her allegations toward her then-boyfriend, JB Benn, who she accused of being manipulative and abusive. However, Benn later leaked audio of Neal, making threats against him through a phone call.
