Born in New York in 1971, Bridget Moynahan has a mixed ancestry of American and Irish. Her family lived in New York until she was seven when they relocated to Massachusetts. When Bridget Moynahan was a little girl, the actress was one of the boys and enjoyed playing sports. She was the captain of the lacrosse, basketball, and soccer team during high school.
After graduating high school in 1989, Bridget Moynahan didn’t go to college. Instead, she decided to venture into the modeling world despite not having any idea or has never had a fashion magazine since she was young. Shortly, Bridget Moynahan began gracing the covers of many publications, including the October 1993 issue of Elle magazine and the May issue of Vogue Paris that same year. She also became the face of Glamour magazine six times throughout her modeling career.
With her increasing popularity in the modeling scene, Bridget Moynahan also started getting projects for TV commercials. She also decided to enroll in art and acting classes, which paid off later. From modeling, Bridget Moynahan got her first acting gig in the romantic comedy show Sex and the City in HBO in 1999.
The following year, the model turned actress started getting small roles in films, such as Whipped and In the Weeds. However, her breakthrough role on the big screen came in 2000, when she played the character of Rachel in the comedy-drama movie Coyote Ugly. The next year, she starred opposite John Cusack in the film Serendipity.
Bridget Moynahan got offered the starring role for the movie Swordfish in 2001. However, she declined after filmmakers expected her to show her hot boobs and ass in the scenes.
Throughout her acting career, Bridget Moynahan worked in several other films, including the sci-fi movie I, Robot, alongside Will Smith.
