Born as Ashley Louise James in 1987 in Northumberland, England, she is an English presenter and DJ, residing in London.
She expressed her passion for music at a very tender age and she had her first real presenting gig at the age of sixteen when she landed an assignment at the BBC Radio Cumbria, and later worked on URN, the radio station of University of Nottingham. She graduated with a BA (honours) French & English Literature degree. She also did a guest show on Rinse FM.
Ashley is currently the host of Hoxton Radio show which is aired every Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm all over the world at www.hoxtonradio.com. She was recently nominated and shortlisted for an IARA Award for Best FM/UK Radio DJ. Ashley loves rap, Hip Hop, Trap, grime and R&B music. She has been appointed as the lead presenter on a new channel that is set to launch on Sky and Satellite. She also hosted a number of Facebook Live shows for Hollyoaks. Before that, she was the host of a 12-episode series titled Style Stars on PopGirlTV, a channel on Sky and Freeview. She regularly hosts red carpet events and festivals. Among her credits is being the main host at Festifeel, a curated festival organized by Fearne Cotton for the breast cancer awareness charity named CoppaFeel! She has also presented at Clothes Show Live for Clothes Shwo TV, an online fashion channel Fashtag and also did backstage duties at the X-Factor.
Ashley has appeared in Celebrity Dinner Dates (ITV), Big Brother’s Bit on the side (channel 5), When Celebrity Goes Horribly Wrong (Channel 5) and Wild Things (Sky One). Apart from being a presenter, Ashley is also a DJ alongside her friend and fellow presenter Charlotte de Carlo under the alias BitterSweet DJs. They have become residents at London’s Lights of Soho where they have worked alongside Groove Armada and for brands such as Glamour Awards, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Notion Magazine, Coca Cola, Rimmel, Folli Follie and French Connection.
Ashley has written editorials in 1883 mag and Notion magazine. She also has a column for the Huffington Post and her views about female empowerment led her to a guest column in Closer Magazine. She has modelling agencies in London, Milan, Istanbul, Australia, Germany and New York. She headed a campaign for George Swimwear.
