Born in Dallas, Texas, Angie Harmon started in the modeling world when she was still a child. In 1987, the little girl joined the modeling contest held by Seventeen magazine, which she won in the end. During high school, the actress was also part of the famous Highland Belles.
In the 1990s, Angie Harmon won another modeling competition, the Spectrum Model Search, which served as an excellent stepping stone for what would be a flourishing career. Shortly after that, Angie Harmon started appearing in multiple TV shows. Her early appearances on the small screen include C-16: FBI, Baywatch, and Baywatch Nights.
The actress also worked in the movie, Lawn Dogs, in 1998. However, her massive breakthrough on the TV scene came in the late 1990s when she became a cast member in the long-running TV show Law & Order. She played the character of ADA Abbie Carmichael in the series from 1998 to 2001.
The actress also did a voiceover for the animated movie Batman Beyond during that time. In 2001, Angie Harmon left a successful part in Law & Order to focus on making movies. Her first work after that was Good Advice, followed by a significant part in the 2003 film Agent Cody Banks.
In 2006, Angie Harmon was in a couple of failed TV shows, Small Town, Women’s Murder Club, and Inconceivable.
Two years later, the actress joined the other four models who posed for Allure magazine’s May issue, completely baring their ass and boobs.
Throughout the years, Angie Harmon continued to work on TV and film. Her more recent projects include a hosting gig in UpLiv infomercial in 2010 and the crime-drama show on TNT, Rizzoli & Isles. The actress portrayed the role of police detective Jane Rizzoli is the series, which aired from 2010 to 2016. It was the most successful leading role for the actress so far, which also earned her a couple of nominations and awards.
Angie Harmon currently has three daughters with her previous husband, Jason Sehorn, a former NFL player. The two got engaged in 2000 during the actress’s appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The lovers got married a year later, although they divorced in 2014 after 13 years of marriage.
