Onatejiro “AJ” Odudu is a popular British television presenter who is best known for presenting the reality show spin-off on Channel 5, the Big Brother’s Bit on the Side with Rylan Clark and Emma Willis in the year 2013.
Very little is known about her early life. She was born on 12 February 1988, in Blackburn, Lancashire. Her parents are Nigerian and she is one of eight children in her household. Odudu did her schooling from St Bede’s RC High School and attended St Mary’s College. She later graduated from Keele University with a degree in media production.
Odudu began her television career as a reporter for BBC Blast based at Radio Lancashire and her first presenting roles began in 2009 on the BBC Two series The Almost Perfect Guide to Life and on an online show on the BBC website called The 5:19 Show, having formerly served as ‘raving reporter’ for the latter. In the year 2010, she appeared as a guest on a one-off special broadcast on Channel 4 called 100 Greatest Toys. She starred as herself in Comedy Lab in the year 2011 and co-presented Sky Arts’ coverage of the Isle of Wight Festival 2012.
It was in June 2013 that she rose to immense popularity when Odudu began presenting Big Brother’s Bit on the Side along with Rylan Clark and Emma Willis, and following that, Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Psych from August 2013. Sadly, she confirmed her departure from the show in November 2013, being replaced by Celebrity Big Brother 12 participant and former panelist for Loose Women, Carol McGiffin.
In the same year, Odudu surprised everyone after she launched her own blog on Hello magazine’s UK website. In 2014, she was a panelist for Fake Reaction.
Odudu presently hosts the 4Music program, Trending Live! along with Jimmy Hill and Vick Hope.
She regularly presented the online Facebook quiz game “Confetti” around March-April 2019.
