A woman of strong principles and high ambitions, Adriana Elena Fossa Blanco is a former Venezuelan model and actress and currently, an entrepreneur who is deeply tied to a charity.
Born on 8 June 1968 to Stefano Fossa (an entrepreneur from Treviso) and Dianora Blanco, a member of one of the most important families in all of Venezuela–young Adriana began her modeling career after attending high school and moved to Miami in 1987. Shortly after a year in 1988, she appeared in the TV series Aquile produced by RAI, where she plays the role of Carmela, a Sicilian model constantly revolting against the scale. She reached the heights of her acting career in 1990 when she appeared for Gianni Versace, Laura Biagiotti, and Gianfranco Ferré and took part in the Telemike TV show along with Mike Bongiorno.
Adriana met the then Milan footballer Paolo Maldini in 1988 at a renowned Milanese nightclub, with whom she tied the knot in 199 in Cassano d’Adda. The happy couple has two sons, Christian and Daniel.
Adriana made her last appearance on screen in a TV show in 2002. She made a tough decision to abandon her modeling career after the birth of her sons and decided to devote herself to entrepreneurial and beneficial activities. She currently owns shares in the company that manages the clothing label ‘Sweet Years’ (established by her husband Paolo Maldini together with the footballer Christian Vieri) and also carries out consultancy activities in the accessories sector for the same brand.
Her engagement in charity activities describes just how generous she is. Adriana is one of the promoters and testimonials of the Milanese Convivio event that raises funds for HIV research. The organisation also supports ACTION AID, which promotes distance adoption.
Although there were allegations of corruptions and espionage, Adriana along with her husband believed in positive things and didn’t let it get in the way of their good doings.
