Brendan Fraser’s name always comes to mind when we think back on the biggest actors of the 1990s and 2000s.
Despite being a fan favorite, numerous injuries, and a sexual assault claim against Philip Berk, then-president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Fraser’s career took a turn for the worse.
Fraser is back in the spotlight after only acting in a few number of movies and television shows in recent years thanks to his role in the newest The Whale by Darron Aronofsky.
In Aronofsky’s most recent film, Fraser plays a 600-pound man who tries to get back in touch with his 17-year-old daughter (Sadie Sink from Stranger Things) after leaving his family behind for a gay lover who later passed away.
At the Venice Film Festival, the movie had its world debut last night. The reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.
