When choosing a summer vacation destination we usually have very few criteria. We just want it to be warm and sunny, any beach will do. It makes sense. You want to relax after a hard year of work. Most people will choose an island that has a 5 star all-inclusive hotel and just spend their vacation there. There’s nothing wrong with that, but there’s just so much more to life that a 5 star hotel. I encourage anyone and everyone to look outside the box and try to experience new things on their travels. You could start with Bali.
Bali is a wonderful place that has a lot to offer. You’ll see that from the moment you step off the plane. You’ll still get your 5 star hotel with amazing service here, but you’ll also be able to experience the culture and grow as a human. You’ll be pleasantly surprised the moment you step out of your comfort zone and go explore Bali. Balinese people are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Sure, you might get some pushy salesmen on some streets, but everyone else is always very friendly, polite and eager to help out in any way they can.
The nature of Bali is mesmerizing. You seriously should try to get away from the tourist beaches and go explore other ones. They’re more beautiful, serene and not cluttered by loud tourists. Here you’ll have a chance to truly relax and just enjoy life. But it’s not just the beach you should care about. Bali has beautiful rice plantations that are worth a visit. The pictures you take there will definitely get you a lot of likes on instagram. The whole island is full of beautiful sights. There’s spectacular plantations, beaches, temples, mountains, waterfalls and even a live volcano.
Speaking of volcanos, Bali is one of the very few places where you can have dinner overlooking a live volcano. And what a dinner that will be. Bali is famous for it’s restaurants. You can get all sorts of cuisine here, anything your heart desires, but I urge you to find some authentic Balinese cuisine. It’ll be worth it. In Bali you’ll also have a chance to dive and swim through the wrecks of old ships, hold a monkey in a monkey sanctuary, try a cup of special Bali coffee and much much more. And the best thing about it? You get to feel like a millionaire because of the exchange rate.
Bali Temples are a must see. Even if you’re not a religious person, even if you don’t consider yourself to be spiritual in any way. You have to see them just because they deserve to be seen. They’re incredibly beautiful and you won’t see temples like that anywhere else in the world.
The Tanah Lot Temple, in my opinion, is the most impressive and the most beautiful temple ever. It’s build on a rock overlooking the ocean and is beautiful at any time of the day, but especially during the golden hour. The Ulun temple is also worth seeing, it seems to be just floating in the water.
If you’ve always wanted to try surfing – Bali is the place to do it. If you’re more into seafood, Bali is still the perfect place to be. There’s tons of bars and cafes along the beach that offer great seafood. Bali is an amazing place for food lovers. Everyone will be able to find something they like.
It it’s not spiritual enlightenment you’re after, Bali still has things to offer you. There is a lot of really good clubs where you can get your party on and dance until the sun comes up. You won’t have to look hard to find a place like that. The touristy area is full of clubs.
So whatever you’re into, you’ll sure to find it in Bali. It truly is a heavenly place.
