On Friday, August 5, Anne Heche was engaged in an automobile accident that left her seriously burned in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, according to TMZ.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirms to Us Weekly that the driver, whom they did not identify, was speeding eastbound on Preston Way. When the vehicle approached the Preston and Walgrove crossroads, it went off the road and collided with a residence on the 1700 block of Walgrove.
The vehicle was engulfed in flames, according to the LAPD, and the driver got significant burns. LAFD paramedics then transferred the driver to a nearby hospital. TMZ photographs show the subject wearing burnt garments as they are carried away on a stretcher and covered with a white cloth.
Heche allegedly drove into the garage of a separate apartment building moments before the horrific crash. The neighbours can be seen in footage acquired by TMZ attempting to help remove the All Rise actress from the vehicle, but she appears to have put her car in reverse and drove away before they could reach her.
There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt.
