In the chilly months, as the air gets dry, you may notice that your lips get affected too. It becomes dry, chappy and it peels off. As this annoying dry skin peels off, it gets bitten or tugged off resulting in soreness and bleeding. It’s frustrating when this happens especially when you have to wear matte lipstick. But this can be avoided by exfoliating your lips once or twice a week.
Buying one from your fave beauty store is just an added expense. Why buy when you can make one right in the comfort of your own kitchen?
Here’s how to do it.
You will need:
* A tablespoon of brown or white Sugar – Exfoliator
* A dash of honey (just a small amount) – Natural healing properties (Antiseptic)
* A bit of Olive Oil/Coconut Oil – Nourishing/Moisturizer
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together with honey and oil just enough to get it to stick together. Rub the scrub onto your lips once or twice a week to get rid of dead skin. Let it sit for a minute and wipe off with a damp washcloth. Apply lip balm or Vaseline after use.
