Best known for her presenting on CBBC between the years 2000-2006 and for her roles on The One Show and for co-presenting The Martin Lewis Money Show– Angellica Bell is a renowned British television and radio presenter. Bell won the 2017 series of Celebrity MasterChef and is an actress, known for Ill-Gotten Gains (2016), Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose (2014) and The Saturday Show (2001).
Bell is of St. Lucian heritage and is the daughter of Labour politician Julian Bell, the leader of Ealing council since 2010. Born in 1976, she has raised a Mormon and did her schooling in Ealing, west London at Notting Hill & Ealing High School. She also studied at the University of the West of England, attaining a BA Honours degree in Politics in 1996.
Bell joined CBBC in May 2000 working mainly as a presentation presenter linking the shows together. She later became the chief anchor of shows, including ‘That’s Genius!’, Xchange, 50/50 and Short Change and has also presented EastEnders Xtra and Dance Xtra. From 2004 to 2005 back-to-back, she presented CBBC’s The Saturday Show.
She announced her departure from CBBC in December 2006. And is currently one of the reporters of The One Show.
Bell’s entered adult-mainstream programming appeared on BBC One where she presented The Great British Village Show that was broadcasted in spring 2007. In March 2007, Bell appeared on Comic Relief does Fame Academy and later in the same year, presented Dance Xtra for BBC Three and Children in Need.
On 17 July 2011, she was a contestant on Born to Shine and learnt tap dancing but did not make it to the final round. On 23 October 2011, she co-hosted Something for the Weekend with Tim Lovejoy, in place of Louise Redknapp.
Till date, she has become a regular face on the television screen, hosting and presenting various shows.
