Born on January 17, 1991 in Nashville, Tennessee, Willa Fitzgerald is an American actress. She earned a BA in Theater Studies from Yale University in the year 2013.
Between 2013 and 2014, Willa Fitzgerald appeared as Lola Laffer in a short-run Amazon Studios political web TV series Alpha House. The series ran for two seasons before it was cancelled. On April 23, 2014, she was announced as having got a recurring role in USA Network’s drama series Royal Pains as Emma Miller. Between 2014 and 2015, she also obtained guest roles in TV shows like Blue Bloods, The Following and Gotham.
On August 5, 2014, Fitzgerald was cast in MTV’s Scream. On July 29, 2015, the series got a renewal for the second season. On April 26, 2017, MTV announced that Scream will undergo a reboot featuring a fresh cast.
Fitzgerald has worked on theater including shows like Couple in the Kitchen, The Private Sector, Cow Play and The Cat and The Canary. In August 2016, she joined the cast of the movie Misfortune directed by Lucky McKee and it was released under the title Blood Money in October 2017.
In July 2017, she was cast as Meg in a BBC miniseries Little Women inspired by a book of the same name. In December 2017, she was cast in the role of Kilsey Barbour in an upcoming film The Goldfinch based on a Pulitzer-prize winning book of the same name by Donna Tartt. The movie is scheduled for release on October 11, 2019.
On July 25, 2018, she was cast as one of the lead characters in the USA Network drama pilot Dare Me. She is going to play the role of a cheerleading coach Colette French who is of a daring nature.
