She also happens to be the executive producer of ‘Ugly Betty.’ She played a guest role as Sofia Reyes got her a nomination for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series’ at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards. She has been the celebrity endorser for products such as Revlon and Avon. Salma Hayek also launched her own cosmetics, skincare and hair care product range called ‘Nuance.’
She has supported fund raising campaigns for vaccines against maternal and neonatal tetanus.
