Born on 26 September 1991 in Harlow, England, Charlotte Spencer is a British actress, singer and dancer. She was born in Harlow, Essex to Peter and Karen. Regarding her origins, she said, “I come from a working class background; my dad is a builder and my mum works in a school.” She was three years old when she started ballet and has been willing to perform since then. When Charlotte was 11, her parents sent her to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, a drama school located in Marylebone, London. Her parents remortgaged their house to support her acting career. As of 2016, she spends her free time with her parents or working with her grandmother at a charity shop and helping with the chores at her mother’s infants school. She has a pet dog named Chip.

She played the lead role of Lilly in a movie Bypass with George MacKay and also appeared as Ellie in a BBC2 TV series Stonemouth. In the year 2015, she was nominated for the Best Actress award for Stonemouth at the BAFTA Scotland. In BBC1 horror TV show The Living and the Dead, aired in 2016, she appeared as a photographer turned housewife named Charlotte Appelby with Colin Morgan. She said about the role, “since I was a child, I have always wanted to do a period drama.”
