Born on May 8, 1990, Masami Odate is a Japanese professional wrestler, renowned as lo Shirai. She is presently in a contract with WWE where she is a part of their developmental territory NXT.
She is famous for her stint in World Wonder Ring Stardom where she happened to be two-time Wonder of Stardom Champion and a six-time Artist of Stardom Champion, and also a former two-time World of Stardom Champion. She also won one Goddess of Stardom, High Speed and SWA World Champion. She was honoured as the “ace” of Stardom and won the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Tokyo Sports Joshi Puroresu Grand Prizes.
She debuted in March 2007, and worked for many years as a tag team wrestler, pairing with her older sister Mio with whom she had wrestled for a number of promotions across Japan and Mexico, winning the TLW World Young Women’s Tag Team Championship as well. In June 2010, she and her sister teamed with Kana to form the Triple Tails stable, which had lasted for fifteen months, before she broke out of the group and launched her singles career in Stardom. Lo soon became one of Stardom’s top stars. She won the biggest title of the World of Stardom in April 2013. She retained the title for fifteen months. Lo had worked for Stardom from the promotion inception in 2011 until June 2018, when she resigned from Stardom and joined WWE.
In March 2017 she was featured in a gravure spread on the Weekly Playboy magazine.
Odate had a relationship with fellow professional wrestler Kazushige Nosawa. They lived together in Koto, Tokyo. She is a big fan of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Momoiro Clover Z.
