Natascha McElhone is a British actress who rose to fame with hit films Ronin and The Truman Show. McElhone has an irresistible, sexy persona that captivates the viewers with her blonde hair and blue eyes.
Natasha Abigail Taylor is better known for her stage name as Natascha McElhone. She was born in 1969 in Surrey, England. Both of her parents are journalists, while her brother is a scriptwriter. Her family has Irish heritage.
At a young age, McElhone studied Irish dancing. She also grew up in an all-girls boarding school. Her love for performing arts led her to study at a drama and music school in London. The aspiring actress graduated in 1993.
McElhone started her acting career in theatre plays. She starred on several productions, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Count of Monte Cristo. She made her TV debut in the 1990 crime-drama series The Ruth Rendell Mysteries as Helen Blake.
Since then, McElhone appeared in several TV shows, though in minor roles. Some of them include Bergerac, Absolutely Fabulous, and Minder.
In 1996, McElhone landed on her first big-screen role in the film Surviving Picasso alongside Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins. It was also followed by her most successful movie, The Truman Show, with Jim Carrey. In the following years, McElhone continued to work with other Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, and George Clooney.
In her entire career, McElhone was a recipient of four different acting nominations under the Best Actress category in the films Ronin, Solaris, and Revelations.
Currently, McElhone is working on a new sci-fi series, entitled Halo. She will portray two roles: Dr. Catherine Halsey and Cortana. The show will air in 2021.
When it comes to her personal life, the actress married Martin Hirigoyen Kelly. The actress tied the knot with the plastic surgeon in 1998. Ten years later, a fellow doctor found McElhone’s husband slumped in his family’s home. Kelly died the day after their wedding anniversary. He died due to heart complications.
After her husband’s death, McElhone wrote letters to Kelly. Soon, the diary entries and letters became the reference of McElhone’s first book, entitled After You: Letters of Love, and Loss, to a Husband and Father. It got published in 2010.
Kelly left three sons to McElhone namely, Theodore, Otis, and Rex.
In terms of her style choices, McElhone loves wearing clothes that expose her chest, including her full boobs. She also prefers knee-length cocktail gowns and outfits made out of thin fabric that outline the shape of her round ass.
