Born as Kim Hyun-joo on February 25, 1982, she is a South Korean actress renowned as Han Ga-In. Han Ga-In attended the Seoul Gusan Elementary School, Sunjung Middle School and Baehwa Girls High School. On 22 December 2000, during her time at the high school, Han Ga-in took part in the KBS1 “Challenge Golden Bell” and she showed off her talent to reach the 34th stage. It was quite an achievement for the skilled high school student who scored 384 out of 400 points on CSAT.
>Her debut in front of the camera was in an Asiana Airlines commercial in the year 2002, and she was also cast in the KBS2 drama Sunrise Hunting. She later appeared in Yellow Handkerchief and debuted on the big screen in Once Upon a Time In High School. In the year 2004, she played the leading role in Terms of Endearment and won an Excellence Award at the KBS Drama Awards.
The most fruitful year of Han’s career until now, was 2012 when she first starred in a period drama, Moon Embracing the Sun where she played the lead role of an amnesiac noblewoman-turned-shaman. The drama ranked number one in its time slot throughout its run and also had a top viewer rating of 42.2 percent, thus, becoming the “national drama”. She then played a leading role in a romantic film Architecture 101, which received great reviews and established the box office record as the highest-grossing Korean melodrama.
J. One Plus Entertainment managed Han from 2009 to 2011, and after the expiry of her contract, she signed with Lee Byung-Hun’s agency named BH Entertainment in December 2012. In the year 2018, Han made a small screen comeback after a gap of six years with a mystery thriller Mistress.
Han got married to actor Yeon Jung-hoon on April 26, 2005 and they had earlier worked together in a 2003 TV series Yellow Handkerchief. On April 13, 2016, Han gave birth to her first child, a daughter.
